What Are We About?

The Alumni Engagement & Communications Officer reports to the Executive Director, Advancement and External Relations and is responsible for engaging alumni throughout their lives by ensuring the successful delivery of alumni programs, services and communications.

The Alumni Engagement & Communications Officer will organize, maintain and promote various college opportunities to alumni that will foster and build positive relationships and support fundraising, community and volunteer engagement for the college. They will collaborate with Departments and Schools across the college in order to be knowledgeable about opportunities that may benefit from alumni engagement such as events, job fairs or program advisory councils.

The Alumni Engagement & Communications Officer is responsible for securing financial resources to support the Advancement and Alumni budget through sponsorships, advertising and partnerships as well as soliciting annual level donations from alumni.

The Alumni Engagement & Communications Officer plays a key role in developing and executing a variety of communications, events, and experiences that nurture community, stakeholder, and alumni relations to the benefit of Fleming College.

Please Note: This position has been designated as hybrid and is expected on campus 50% of the time.

¿What We Are Looking For:

The incumbent will have a three (3) year Diploma or Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Non-profit Management, or similar areas of study along with three (3) years experience demonstrating:

Experience working within the field of Alumni Relations.
Experience developing fundraising and/or communications campaigns to build engagement or secure funding from alumni or stakeholder groups.
Experience in the development and implementation of programs and services.
Experience working with volunteers, including coordinating and motivating.
Experience organizing and coordinating special events.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheets, databases and fundraising or CRM software.
Experience working independently in a customer focused environment within a team environment prioritizing and organizing own work.
Marketing, communications, and social media experience.
