Job SummaryThis is a hands-on contract role with a product control team working on regional finance analysis. The Accountant involves interpreting balance sheets and collaborating with regional finance teams. The role requires a personable approach to interact with stakeholders and finance-related teams, with focus on understanding the balance sheet of TDS and underlying businesses. The assignment is part of a change in process for upfront analysis within a small team of 1 to 2 people directly, embedded in a larger team of 10. The contractor will have access to customer data.Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret balance sheets and provide analysis
  • Work with the product control team on financial reviews
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams
  • Conduct upfront analysis from a regional view of profit and loss
  • Analyze and interpret regional profit and loss statements
  • Understand entity structure and revenue transfer mechanisms
  • Support change in process initiatives through financial analysis

Education Requirements

  • University degree (mandatory)

Certifications

  • CPA or CFA (nice to have)

Required Experience

  • 5 years of overall experience in accounting or finance
  • Banking sector experience

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Capital markets experience and product knowledge of capital markets
  • Regional tax experience

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills

  • Balance sheet analysis and interpretation
  • Regional profit and loss (PnL) analysis
  • Financial analytics
  • Ability to interpret financial statements
  • Understanding of financial processes and regional finance structures

NICE-TO-HAVE Skills

  • Capital Markets product knowledge
  • Tech capabilities: Python scripting, Macros
  • Regional tax experience
