Overview
We are looking for a reliable and energetic 2nd Shift Shuttle Driver to join our transportation team. The Shuttle Driver will safely operates tractor-trailers to transport finished goods or raw materials between production plant, warehouses, and distribution centers. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, adhering to DOT regulations, and ensuring cargo is secured to maintain USDA food safety standards. The ideal candidate is personable, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong driving background with relevant experience.
Duties
- Safely operate trailer along specified routes during the 2nd shift.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drops.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to check for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and safety equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and any incidents or vehicle maintenance needs.
- Communicate clearly with warehouse staff regarding scheduled pick ups and drop offs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience driving commercial tractor trailers required.
- Valid Class A driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with other team members.
- A clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
