Full job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Working Supervisor to join our team. As a Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of our rail projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and expertise in project management. These projects are out of town. Will be away for 9 – 15 days at a time. Paid accomodations, and food allowance.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of projects from start to finish
– Oversee the work of employees and ensure compliance with project specifications
– Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and making adjustments as necessary
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being performed according to quality standards
– Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project schedules and milestones
– Provide guidance and mentorship to workers on-site
– Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings
Skills:
– Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
– Knowledge of quality control processes in the railroad industry
– Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
– Class 1 , 2, or 3 with Air Brakes is not needed but preferred
-Mechanical Experience preferred
– Railway experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
