Part-Time – Shop Helper for busy Cabinet Shop
We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join our woodworking Shop Hand. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and light maintenance within our workshop, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our team. Responsibilities
– Clean woodworking equipment, tools, and surfaces regularly.
– General janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain a tidy workspace
– Monitoring stock levels for supplies
– Organize woodworking materials, including lumber, hardware, and supplies.
– Assist in the disposal of waste materials and recycling efforts.
– Keep workstations and common areas organized and clutter-free.
– Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs and assist as instructed.
– Assist with loading/unloading deliveries
– Running errands
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a hazard-free environment.
Skill Requirements
– Prior experience in cleaning or organizing, preferably in a workshop or industrial setting.
– Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
– Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
– Availability to work on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in the morning.
– Experience in machine maintenance is an asset.
– Valid driver’s license
