Wood Moulder Operator Jobs in Owen Sound at Vokes Industries Inc.
We are looking for an experienced Wood Moulder Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a wood moulder to produce precision-milled components used in our sauna builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate wood moulding machines for various profiles
- Select and install knives/cutters and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor production quality and ensure consistency of finished products
- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Experience operating a wood moulder (Weinig or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of wood species, grain, and machining behaviour
- Ability to set up profiles and tooling with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and team-oriented
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience in millwork, cabinetry, or custom woodworking
- Knife grinding or profile setup experience
- Forklift experience
