Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Wood-Fired Oven Pizza Cook/Operator to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas using traditional wood-fired ovens, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation. Duties
- Operate and maintain wood-fired pizza ovens to ensure optimal cooking conditions
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Monitor cooking times and oven temperatures to produce perfectly cooked pizzas
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to food safety standards and regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and guest satisfaction
- Assist in food preparation for other menu items as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations
- Follow proper knife skills for ingredient preparation and ensure efficient meal assembly
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting, particularly with pizza or wood-fired cooking preferred
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and fine dining service highly desirable
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes quality presentation and customer satisfaction
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
