WILDLIFE CONTROL TECHNICIAN – SOUTH SHORE, NS

Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control is Canada’s largest and most established urban wildlife

control company. We specialize in humane, permanent solutions to wildlife conflicts in

residential and commercial settings.

We are currently seeking an experienced or mechanically-inclined Wildlife Control

Technician to become the first technician hire supporting our growing South Shore

territory, based out of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

This role is designed for someone ready to grow with the business. You will work closely

with an established Territory Manager while helping expand service coverage across the

South Shore. During the initial training and ramp-up period, travel to Halifax to support

existing crews will be required. Once training is complete, you will be assigned a company

vehicle and operate independently across the South Shore region.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants stability, responsibility, and a clear

path to growth within a proven organization.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $50,000 – $54,000 annually

Equivalent hourly rate: $21–$23 per hour

Typical schedule: 45–50 hours per week

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Inspect residential and commercial buildings for wildlife activity and entry points
  • Humanely remove and exclude wildlife using industry-leading methods
  • Perform wildlife-proofing repairs and exclusion installations
  • Complete attic, crawlspace, and exterior remediation work
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners and provide professional recommendations
  • Document work performed and maintain job records
  • Support and collaborate with the Territory Manager to grow the region
  • Assist and guide team members as the South Shore territory expands
  • Travel to Halifax as needed during early-stage territory growth
  • Work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
  • Comply with all company health, safety, and operational standards

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This role is no longer entry-level. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking

ownership, learning quickly, and growing into a leadership-support role.

You should have:

  • Experience in construction, trades, restoration, roofing, pest control, or similar hands-on

work

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power and hand tools
  • Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to a team
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Physical fitness and comfort with ladders, attics, roofs, and crawlspaces
  • A clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license
  • The ability to pass a criminal background check
  • A professional attitude and high level of integrity
  • Willingness to travel regionally during territory development

WORK LOCATION

Based in Bridgewater, NS with coverage across the South Shore.

Travel to Halifax required during initial growth phase.
