Job Description
Multiple openings due to company expansion.
What will you do?
MIG aluminum welding and hull/vessel construction;
Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts;
Preparation of components for welding;
Sub-assembly of parts including welding;
Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards;
Follow all applicable Eaglecraft Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
What do you need to succeed?
Proficient in MIG (Push-Pull) welding, pulse experience preferred;
2-3 years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products;
Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools;
High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards;
Ability to read blueprints/drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required.

Compensation range based on experience: $30.00- 36.00 hr. Higher pay range for experienced aluminum boat builders.
Wage reviews are conducted after successful completion of the probationary period and annually after the first year of employment.

Working Conditions
18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada;
Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels;
Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
Noticeable pressure from deadlines, accuracy or similar demands exists.
