YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Assist Welders with reading/interpreting blueprints and welding specifications;
-
Provide welding expertise to assist operations with manual or semi-automatic flame cutting, brazing and soldering equipment;

Assist in designing and fabrication of metal/components as required;
-
Identify and assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities;
-
Ensure that safety issues are reported to Supervisor and promptly remedied;
-
Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Grade 12 high school diploma or GED required;
-
College Certificate and/or Diploma in the Welding field is considered an asset;
-
Ability to successfully complete and pass the TOWES entrance to apprenticeship aptitude test, required;
-
Experience working in an industrial/mining setting is considered an asset;
-
Focused and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills;
-
Able to function in a rotation schedule in a remote camp location.

Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
