WELDER
Mining Project June 30th to July 7th, 2026 – Salary Range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
OVERVIEW
Patrick Mechanical Limited is currently seeking an experienced Welder in Ontario Region for a short-term project assignment at one of our client’s mining operations. This 7-day project is scheduled to run from June 30th to July 7th, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform field welding tasks based on project requirements, technical drawings, or supervisor instructions.
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools efficiently and safely. Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and serviceable condition. Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment for prompt repair or replacement.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Inspect, prepare, and align materials and components for welding.
- Conduct welds that meet applicable codes, standards, and inspection criteria. Perform weld repairs or rework as necessary to meet established quality standards.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting them to the required dimensions and specifications.
- Use hand and power tools to clean and smooth weld surfaces for proper adhesion.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, company procedures, and site-specific protocols.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Receive, store, and organize raw materials, welding consumables, and tools efficiently.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines without compromising weld quality.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts on job sites.
- Maintain valid and current welding certifications required to perform assigned tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered with CWB and have minimum of three (3) years of experience with SMAW / GTAW techniques.
- Certification in welding is preferred.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
