About the Role
AH Underground Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Water & Sewer Foreman to lead field operations on underground utility projects. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is a leadership position suited for someone with strong experience in water and sewer installation and the ability to manage a small crew in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews on water and sewer installation projects
- Coordinate daily job site activities, materials, and equipment
- Read and interpret drawings, grade sheets, and specifications
- Ensure all work meets project requirements and quality standards
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with management, inspectors, and clients
- Train and mentor labourers and equipment operators
- Complete daily reports and track project progress
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in water and sewer construction
- Proven experience in a foreman or supervisory role
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
- CSTS 2020 Certification (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Confined Space Certification (required)
- Ground Disturbance Certification (required)
- Fall Protection Certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of underground utility installation practices
- Ability to read plans, grades, and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with horizontal directional drilling (HDD)
- Equipment operating experience
- Knowledge of Alberta safety regulations and municipal standards
- Familiarity with EPCOR specifications, standards, and inspection requirements (strong asset)
