Position Purpose
Responsible for providing leadership of staff; planning and supervising maintenance activities and infrastructure replacement activities in the water distribution system and wastewater collection system and stormwater management system; providing technical support for infrastructure construction activities and replacement activities; coordination and monitoring of the Water/Wastewater Operations Division staff.For full details, please see attached job description.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12, or equivalent.
Possession of a MECP Water Distribution Certificate Systems Class II, and MECP Wastewater Collection Systems Licence Class II in compliance with O. Reg. 128/04, and O. Reg. 129/04
Minimum Six (6) years of experience in a wide range of functional areas, including Water and Wastewater Systems, Planning, Engineering, Development and Public Works, preferably in a municipal environment.
Previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment, with the ability to handle employee and labour relations issues.
Possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license.
MTO Issued Driver’s Abstract in good standing required to operate Corporate vehicles.
Police Vulnerable Sector Check, deemed as satisfactory by the Town.
