Warehousing Specialist & Delivery Job Description

Responsible for maintaining an efficient, organized, and safe warehouse environment

while ensuring accurate inventory management and order fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.​ Inventory Management

●​ Conduct accurate inventory counts in the warehouse on a bi-weekly basis.

●​ Perform a bi-weekly warehouse supplies checklist.

●​ Ensure that only half or full cases are stored in the warehouse at all times.

2.​ Warehouse Organization and Safety

●​ Keep storage areas organized, clean, and ergonomically sound.

●​ Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper box stacking height limits

to prevent accidents.

●​ Secure the storage locker and maintain overall warehouse security.

3.​ Order Fulfillment

●​ Follow established picking and packing protocols to ensure efficient order

processing.

●​ Verify that correct products and quantities match orders.

●​ Include a packing slip with every order.

●​ Label cases with the client’s name and box count.

●​ Properly secure products in packages to prevent damage during transit.

●​ Pay special attention to unique items, such as wooden boxes, special

packages, and gifting items.

●​ Carefully review and follow delivery notes and special instructions.

●​ Arrange cases for easy delivery handoff.

4.​ Delivery

●​ Safely transport orders from warehouse to delivery destinations.

●​ Ensure timely and accurate delivery to clients’ specified locations.

●​ Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time.

●​ Verify delivery details with clients and obtain confirmation as needed.

●​ Avoid extreme temperatures, to preserve wine quality.

●​ Perform basic vehicle checks (e.g., tire pressure, fuel) before deliveries.

Qualifications:

●​ Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations,

inventory management, order fulfillment, or professional delivery driving.Experience in the wine, spirits, or beverage distribution industry is a strong asset

but not required—strong operational reliability, attention to detail, and safe work

practices are the priority. A valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving

abstract is mandatory.

●​ Skills:

○​ Obsessive attention to detail with strong organizational and

problem-solving abilities; excels at following precise picking, packing,

labeling, and delivery protocols while multitasking in a fast-paced

environment.

○​ Deep understanding of inventory accuracy, proper case storage (half or full

cases only), and safe stacking/organization practices to maintain a clean,

ergonomic, and secure warehouse.

○​ Physical capability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver cases (up to 50 lbs

regularly), stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform repetitive

tasks throughout the workday.

○​ Safe and defensive driving skills with basic vehicle maintenance

knowledge (tire pressure, fuel, fluid checks, etc.) and commitment to

protecting wine quality by avoiding extreme temperatures during

transport.

○​ Proficiency in basic digital tools (Google Sheets, Excel) with willingness to

learn inventory/ERP or OMS systems (ChannelSnap, Streak, or similar

experience is an asset). Ability to complete bi-weekly inventory counts and

supplies checklists accurately.

○​ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional client

interactions during deliveries, verifying details, obtaining confirmations,

and collaborating effectively with the internal team.

○​ Strong commitment to safety protocols, including proper handling of

fragile/unique items (wooden boxes, gifting packages, special

instructions) and maintaining overall warehouse security.

●​ Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A certificate, diploma,

or course work in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field

is an asset.

●​ Location & Other Requirements: Must be based in Ontario, Canada (GTA area

strongly preferred). Reliable transportation to the

office is essential. Flexibility for occasional early starts, extended hours

during peak periods, or route adjustments. Comfortable working in a warehouse

environment and committed to preserving product integrity at every step.
