This role will involve interacting with delivery drivers and warehouse employees to move tools, equipment, and goods in and out of the warehouse.
We are looking for an energetic warehouse worker to receive and ship merchandise and equipment to and from our warehouse. The warehouse worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport to and store in items in their designated location and when our primary delivery vehicle is too busy or off, we need you to drive our backup delivery vehicle. This will include performing deliveries and pickup from our projects and/or vendors in our late model Mercedes Sprinter Van.
To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused, and able to work in a fast environment.
This role is based in Port Kells (Surrey), BC.
Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:
Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
Accepting delivery of inventory.
Counting and confirming inventory.
Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
Communicating errors to relevant parties.
Marking and labeling stock.
Storing inventory in accessible manner.
Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
Building loads with forklift
Driver Responsibilities:
Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safe operation of the delivery vehicle.
Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle.
Ensuring proper documentation is performed on every delivery/pickup.
Inspect returning equipment for damage or missing components.
Communicating with our dispatcher.
Assist in washing and cleaning equipment when needed.
Assist in checking in equipment and make it rental ready
Assist with various warehouse requirement when not doing deliveries.
Requirements:
18 years of age or older.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse.
Ability to operate forklift an asset but not necessary. We can provide course after probation.
Physically strong and able to lift at least 55LBS.
Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
Available to work extended hours as required
