Full job description

Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd (VP)located in St. Marys, Ontario, the largest Veterinary Warehousing & Distribution operation in Ontario, is currently looking to add dedicated, hardworking individuals to our warehouse team for thefull-timeposition of:

WAREHOUSE WORKER

Under the general direction of the Order Processing Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Coordinators, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing various warehouse duties associated with the proper picking, verifying, and packing of product orders; ensuring that clinics receive their product in good condition and in a timely manner. The Warehouse Worker also plays a vital role helping to maintain a clean, well ordered, and safe working environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick and verify product orders to ensure accuracy

Pack orders to ensure product is not damaged during transport and that all shipping labels are applied, as required

Maintain warehouse to ensure that the proper amount of product is available and that shelves are neat and free of excess packaging material and debris

Complete daily warehouse preparation jobs, as assigned

Understand and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures as required.

Other duties as assigned

Note: This position requires employees to walk/stand for the entirety of their shift, and lift up to 50lbs, as needed.

Health & Safety:

Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Conducts self with regard for safety of employees; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures

Report any health & safety violations or hazards to a Supervisor, Coordinator, or Manager

Good Manufacturing Practices:

Follow and understand all relevant Standard Operating Procedures with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Skills and Knowledge Required:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Strong written & verbal communication

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule:

Operational days are Sunday-Friday. We are currently operating on a two-week rotating schedule:

2 weeks – Sunday-Thursday: Sunday: 8:00am-4:00pm (or End of Day); Monday-Thursday: 11:30am-8:00pm (or End of Day)

2 weeks – Monday-Friday: Monday – Thursday: 9:00am-5:30pm, Friday 9:00am-5:30pm (or End of Day)

2 weeks – Monday-Friday: Monday -Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
