Job Overview

Warehouse Training Manager – Winnipeg, MB

Full Time / Permanent

Annual Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)

Shifts:

Sunday – Thursday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Travel: 10–20percent

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute training at the site, including on‑the‑job and powered industrial truck (PIT) training for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain and update existing training documents; create new documents for various departments and job functions.
  • Complete HR paperwork and other administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate department activities and special projects to meet quality and timetables.
  • Work with the Group Logistics Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Direct staff in the development, analysis and performance of job tasks.
  • Supervise staff following company policies and procedures and assist them in resolving operational problems.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff and provide employee orientation.
  • Coach staff and provide career‑development advice.
  • Manage staff scheduling, including work assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and backups for absences.
  • Perform standard work audits to verify adherence to process.
  • Coordinate safety activities with the Safety Manager, ensuring current OSHA and forklift training.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Evaluate department processes and recommend necessary changes.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct performance reviews.
  • Communicate with other supervisors and managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field (required).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating or training on PIT equipment (required).
  • At least 1 year of training or leadership background (preferred).
  • User‑level knowledge of Windows and MS Office, intermediate proficiency (required).

Compensation

  • Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 per year.

  • Annual bonus, commission and/or long‑term incentive plan may apply.
