Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office filing of paperwork.
Creation of manual orders.
Assist in resolving any administrative problems – balancing of spreadsheets by order to ensure no missed revenue.
Works closing with the reverse team (returns).
Load and unload shipments in an efficient and safe manner.
Move product to storage areas with proper material handling equipment (pallet jack)
Ability to modify and rework orders to meet specific customer requirements.
Efficiently store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Prior to product storage, count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage.
Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, storing, and load functions, as required.
Assist in physical inventories.
Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping and discard in proper containers or designated areas as required.
Other duties as required.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws.
Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures.
Always wear or use protective equipment.
Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor.
Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others.
Must not put other workers at risk by your actions.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 1-year warehouse experience
