About the opportunity
Canadawide Sports is currently seeking a motivated individual who wants a challenge, to join our dynamic warehouse team. Canadawide Sports has gone through extensive growth, which has developed new opportunities within the company.
As a Warehouse Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently packing customer orders, preparing them for shipment, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility. You must be comfortable learning on the fly and driving productivity.
We are looking for ambitious, motivated individuals with a sense of urgency. Candidates for this role will have the opportunity to learn all the functions within the warehouse.
This role is based in St. George, ON, Canada.
Straight days, Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities
Efficiently pick and pack customer orders according to established guidelines and procedures.
Utilize appropriate tools, equipment, and technology to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, order processing, and other relevant data.
Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and properly storing items, including unload containers by hand – ability to perform heavy lifting is required.
Follow safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Perform general labour tasks, including but not limited to, restocking shelves, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Other duties as assigned throughout warehouse.
Qualifications
High School, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in order packing, and warehouse operations, is preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new technology systems.
Attention to detail, with excellent organization skills.
Motivated individuals with a desire to succeed, driven by a sense of urgency.
Reach truck experience/certification would be an asset, but not required.
