Viking Instrument & Control is currently looking to add a key member to our team in the role of shipper/receiver at our branch in Edmonton, AB. Ideal applicants should have previous experience working in a warehouse environment within the industrial products area.
Shipper/Receiver
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred
– Able to multitask
– Basic math skills
– Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Basic computer knowledge
Areas of responsibility:
– Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
– Unload and unpack items from delivery trucks
– Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outgoing shipments
– Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
– Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
– Assist with inventory management
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
