Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our team. As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient shipment and receipt of goods in our warehouse. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
– Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or packing lists.
– Inspect received goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
– Record received items into the inventory management system accurately.
– Generate shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
– Maintain organized and efficient storage of inventory within the warehouse.
– Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
– Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
– Collaborate with colleagues to resolve any problems or issues that arise during the shipping and receiving process.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar role preferred.
– Proficient in order picking techniques and using warehouse management systems.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
– Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
