We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time position in our Shipping and Receiving Department located at our Edmonton facility. As a key member of our team, you will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Position:Shipper/Receiver
Start Date:Immediate
Term:Full-time, permanent
Salary:to be determined based on qualifications and experience
Description:Reporting directly to the Edmonton Operations Manager. As a member of our highly motivated Edmonton team, you are responsible for daily shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling, preparing, receiving, inspecting and documenting inbound/outbound shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using the proper handling equipment
Examine inbound shipments to verify accuracy to orders
Picking, packing and setting up orders for delivery or pick up
Schedule and coordinate with both inbound and outbound carriers and couriers
Prepare accurate bill of lading, inter-branch inventory transfer forms, and loading papers
Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience in a chemical environment is an asset
Understand safe chemical handling and storage
TDG and WHIMIS training is a strength
Forklift experience preferred
Abiding by company policies and procedures
Ability to problem solve and work independently or with a team
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Own reliable form of transportation
Working Conditions:
Hearing protection and steel toe shoes required
Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting while transferring product
Operating mobile equipment
