Warehouse Receiver Jobs in St. Thomas at GCW Custom Kitchens & Cabinetry Inc.
Receiving team members are responsible for receiving all shipments and deliveries. As a receiver you will be required to operate a forklift on a daily basis, track incoming inventory and ensuring all shipments are accounted for.
Role Responsibilities:
Ensure that all shipments and deliveries are received properly and accounted for in ERP system
Ensure that all job specific sheets are labeled with the date received and job ID
Feed inventory system daily, leaving no overstock on the receiving dock
Operating a forklift on a regular basis
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects
Preferred skills and abilities:
Quick thinking and problem-solving skills are required
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
An individual who is punctual and who works in an effective and efficient manner
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently
Confidence around forklifts is required
Considered Assets:
Basic knowledge of different wood types.
Previous forklift experience
Experience working with various materials such as wood, MDF, laminates etc.
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Training in a postsecondary education is preferred but not required
