Warehouse Operative / Order Picker Jobs in Canada at Second Nature Designs Ltd
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Materials Handler/Order Picker will provide production support to the organization including but not limited to order picking and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
1. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies from pick lists.
2. Maintain inventory by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of all inventory.
3. Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
4. Receive return material and supplies from production by verifying materials, supply codes and lot number, along with quantity and placing materials back in stock.
5. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing all product.
6. Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections of equipment.
7. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
8. Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
9. Plan work and assign tasks for assistants when necessary.
10. Produce reports and statistics regularly (in/out status report, dead stock report).
11. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of product provided.
12. Keep warehouse, yard and all trailers organized, tidy and safe.
13. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules and recommendations.
14. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as required.
15. Maintain open communication with General Manager of Operations.
16. Perform other duties as required based on production needs and requirements.
17. Must wear personal protective equipment as required by law.
Education, Experience & Competency Requirements:
1. Previous work experience in a manufacturing/production environment an asset.
2. Forklift, Raymond Reach and Order Picker License an asset. Please indicate on your resume and/or cover letter if you hold the above certificates.
3. Superior time management, prioritization and organization skills.
4. Flexible and able to react and/or adapt quickly to changes in anticipated daily plans and/or tasks.
5. Ability to interact well with others and to foster a positive and progressive team environment.
6. Ability to follow instructions closely and work with minimal supervision.
7. Ability to make decisions regarding the quality of the items being assembled.
8. Be alert and aware of surroundings to spot potential safety issues.
9. Familiarity with basic tools.
10. Attention to detail in recognizing product and/or quantities when being packaged.
11. Must have own transportation. Production location is NOT on a bus route.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
