Overview
Modular Comfort Systems. a commercial HVAC company in Syracuse NY is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics team member. The ideal candidate will support daily warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, freight handling, warehouse organization and customer orders preparations. This position also provides an opportunity to train with our in-house shop technician and assist with various equipment repairs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, detail oriented and comfortable working independently while taking direction from the Service Manager. Must have a valid driver’s license!

As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, managing warehouse tasks, and providing excellent service to our clients. Your contribution will keep our supply chain running smoothly and efficiently, making a tangible impact every day.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming freight for accuracy, completeness and damage
- Operate a forklift or pallet jack safely when moving freight, parts or equipment
- Unpack boxes and containers, stock items in the proper location and prepare orders for will-call customers
- Move equipment or parts between warehouse locations or deliver items to customers as directed
- Prepare outgoing freight and and packages for pickup, shipment or delivery
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, broom swept, and free of trash, debris and excess packaging materials
- Assist the Parts and Service Departments as needed
- Train with the in-house Shop Technician to assist with equipment repairs
Requirements
- Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Customer Service experience preferred
- Computer literate, be able to understand how to navigate through various Microsoft programs
- Forklift certification preferred
- OSHA Safety Certification a plus
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving, freight handling, or driving experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow direction. .
- Strong attention to detail, safety, organization and accuracy
- Ability to gather information, complete routine paperwork, and communicate clearly with team members.
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment use.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
