Organic Matters is a family-owned organic food company committed to providing high-quality, sustainably sourced organic products to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Janitor to join our team and help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Warehouse Janitor to support our warehouse operations by ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within our facility. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a tidy and safe workspace.
P/T: Up to 24hr/week
Responsibilities:
1. **Cleaning and Sanitizing:** Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary warehouse and office environment, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
2. **Trash Removal:** Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables properly, ensuring that all waste is separated and disposed of in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
3. **Restroom Maintenance:** Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and report any maintenance issues for prompt resolution.
4. **Floor Care:** Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of warehouse floors by regularly sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the removal of debris.
5. **Equipment Care:** Clean and sanitize equipment and machinery as needed, ensuring they are in good working condition.
6. **Inventory Management:** Assist in the organization and maintenance of cleaning supplies and materials inventory, and request reordering as needed.
7. **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
8. **Assist with Special Projects:** Collaborate with the warehouse team on special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.80/hour.
