Job brief
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Front Door Checker, the successful job holder will be responsible for delegating tasks to warehouse dock workers.
Responsibilities
Assign warehouse dock workers to different work tasks.
Write invoices for products.
Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
Follow current standards and procedures.
Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries.
Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Emails along with photos of the BOL once driver checks in.
Email when truck is backed up to a door.
Follow up with all emails regarding receiving Examples dropped trailers the night before, replying to emails that are sent in regard to receiving etc.
Signing of on both copies of the BOL drivers/our copy.
Verify counts of each load are correct with the BOL.
Job Terms
Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Probationary Period: 3-months or 480 hours, whichever longer
Work Location: Ontario Food Terminal, 165 The Queens Way, Etobicoke ON, M8Y 1H8
Shift Requirement: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm Mondays to Fridays, 6:00 am – 12:00 pm Sundays
Compensation: $21-$23 per hour
Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time
Qualifications
Must be able to work in a cold environment
Related experience in a warehouse setting is an asset
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
