Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and clamp trucks, to ensure efficient warehouse distribution and material handling. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to load and unload materials from delivery vehicles.
- Perform order picking tasks using order pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any mechanical issues.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in building pallets for storage or shipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and best practices.
- Experience using warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently as required by the job.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
