Warehouse Associate Jobs in Mount Uniacke at Jade Stone Halifax Ltd.
Job description:
- Load/unload material shipments (trucks, containers) as well as tools and equipment and ensure material received reflects shipping documents.
- Use the Photo Station to input new material information, take photographs and tag slabs for identification. Also used to photograph remnants, change material types, and locations.
- Efficiently pick material for cutting based on production schedule.
- Return remnant materials to the proper location in the yard.
- Ensure material is properly stored for safety and efficiency following material handling and storage procedures.
- Ensure that locations in internal warehouse system reflect the materials location in yard.
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance and organization of the yard, shipping/receiving and photo station areas.
- Basic understanding of the production process.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operation of Forklift & Overhead Cranes
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to lift over 80lbs.
- Basic Computer knowledge with Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Valid Drivers license. ( A drivers abstract is required prior to employment )
- Competent to drive a forklift and operate overhead cranes.
- Ability to read and write in the English language.
- Able to use a measuring tape.
- Able to read and interpret shop drawings.
