Job Summary:
Fine Dining Server

Established S Oakville restaurant is accepting resumes for a part-time fine dining

server. The position is for weekends and occasional weeknights when required.

This restaurant requires a mature server with some bartending experience. Knowledge of

food and wine pairings is essential. Up to date Smart Serve Certification and prior

employment references must be provided.

The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years serving experience in fine dining with a

background in seafood, steakhouse and classical European cuisine.

Basic requirements include:

Ability to clearly communicate in English

Ability to read and write in English

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high pressure and fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and manner

Prior experience with a POS with modifications and course lines

Attention to detail and table maintenance

Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude

Ability to learn and accept professional direction

Proper food handling and storage knowledge

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Perform side work and end of shift close out tasks

Ability to stand for 8 hours

Ability to lift 25 pounds in order to restock bottled water as required

Ability to run food and bus tables as required

Skills:
– Strong math skills for accurate order taking and cash handling
– Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems
– Basic math skills for calculating bills and making change
– Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
– Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $17.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
