POSITION SUMMARY:
The VP, Commercial is responsible for driving profitable growth through the development and execution of the company’s commercial strategy. This role oversees sales, marketing, customer experience, pricing, and key account management to ensure alignment with business objectives and long term value creation. The VP, Commercial partners closely with Operations, Finance, and the executive team to translate market opportunities into sustainable revenue and margin growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the company’s overall commercial strategy aligned with corporate objectives, growth targets, and market positioning.
- Identify and prioritize new market segments, service lines, geographies, and strategic partnerships within industrial and commercial services.
- Lead go‐to‐market strategies for new service offerings, contract models, and bundled solutions.
Sales Leadership
- Oversee sales organization including field sales, business development, account management, and estimating.
- Establish sales targets, pipeline expectations, forecasting discipline, and performance management.
- Drive enterprise, multi‐site, and long‐term contract growth with key industrial and commercial customers.
Pricing & Margin Management
- Own pricing strategy, contract structures, and margin optimization in partnership with Finance and Operations.
- Ensure disciplined bid review, contract risk assessment, and value‐based pricing practices.
- Balance competitiveness with profitability across service lines.
Marketing & Brand
- Lead marketing strategy including brand positioning, value proposition development, digital presence, and customer engagement.
- Ensure consistent messaging that reflects operational capabilities, safety standards, and reliability.
Customer Experience
- Champion a customer‐centric culture with strong focus on retention, satisfaction, and lifetime value.
- Oversee key account strategies and executive‐level customer relationships.
- Use customer data and feedback to improve service delivery and commercial performance.
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company‐wide strategy and decision‐making.
- Collaborate with Operations to align sales commitments with service delivery capacity.
- Build and lead a high‐performing commercial leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles.
- Proven experience in industrial services, industrial contracting, facilities services, engineering, construction services, or a similar B2B service environment.
- Strong understanding of contract‐based revenue models, pricing, and margin management.
- Demonstrated success driving growth in complex, operationally intensive businesses.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
