Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in patient care and client support by:
- Triaging and assessing patients upon arrival
- Monitoring patient vital signs and providing nursing care
- Administering medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed
- Assisting with diagnostics, including radiology, laboratory testing, and advanced imaging procedures
- Placing IV catheters and collecting diagnostic samples
- Assisting veterinarians with procedures, surgeries, and critical patient care
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Supporting and educating pet owners with compassion and professionalism
- Collaborating with a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient outcomes
Qualifications & What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of veterinary experience required
- Proficiency in patient handling, restraint, and technical nursing skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Thrive in a collaborative environment
- Enjoy learning and growing professionally
- Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
Schedule
- Full-time Day Shift
- Three 13-hour shifts per week
- Many team members enjoy consistent schedules that provide excellent work-life balance
- Some weekend and holiday shifts are required due to our 24-hour hospital operations
