Your new company Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a leading information management solutions company based in Ontario. We are currently hiring a Sr. Vendor Management Specialist to join their team on a contract basis until December 2024. This candidate will be required to work in office 3 days per week in either Waterloo/Richmond Hill (You will be required to work in office for the first 1-2 weeks in their Richmond Hill location for training).Your
new role Reporting to the Manager, Vendor Management, the Sr. Vendor Management Specialist will focus on vendor oversight, performance management, compliance, analysis, and reporting of IT spend to ensure enhanced
service excellence
and operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, deepening, and strengthening significant relationships with suppliers while developing, implementing, and managing procurement programs and initiatives.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to facilitate partnerships in effectively developing and delivering procurement priorities
Coordinate various internal functional teams to enhance proactive vendor management efforts
Analyze/understand data from various sources/vendors, transforming this raw data into useful information to make sound business decisions or formulate recommended solutions
Analyze purchase history from suppliers to detect methods to improve margins
Develop vendor performance scorecards, dashboards, and trend analysis to enhance
service excellence
and operational effectiveness
Assists in organizing routine business reviews (ABRs) with prime vendor partners
Develop and maintain a wide network of market intelligence and regularly utilizes this information to enhance business relations with suppliers and internal groups
Manage multiple projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Present/gain approval from key stakeholders for proposed solutions/plans
Refine issue resolution processes, and vendor tracking and reporting to enable root cause & trend analysis and identify improvement opportunities
Ensure vendors operate in compliance with company policies & address gaps with Vendors Develop and maintain knowledge/adherence to various regulatory agencies’ guidance relating to third-party vendor management
Support the tracking and reporting of Risk Management metrics and indicators to ensure adherence to TPRM policies and standards
What you’ll need to succeed University
education
plus a minimum of five (5) years related experience in vendor management / supplier relations
Advanced digital literacy using various software application packages (Ariba, SAP & VIM experience an asset)
Strong analytical capabilities and skills required to provide efficient and effective solutions;
Ability to
work with large and
diverse
sets of data Strong research and fact-finding capabilities with research and advisory companies (i.e. Gartner)
Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines, planning, presentation, and
communication
skill
