Responsibilities

:

The UVS System Engineer acts as both a Systems Engineer and a Project Engineer and is responsible for all technical items related to the

interdisciplinary

engineering of the requirements definition, design aspects, integration, customization, of Uncrewed Vehicle Systems (including surface, ground, fixed wing, rotary-wing & supersonic vehicles) at Qineti

Q Target Systems in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Project management

of small multi-discipline design projects. Project Technical lead on medium to large design projects. Working in conjunction with other technical disciplines & departments to achieve overall system requirements, Working in conjunction with other departments and sites to meet operational and business requirements. Working in conjunction with customer to determine their goals and requirements for a product or service project.

Creating and/or assisting with cost estimates for customizing existing and new products and/or services. Collaborating to develop and maintain, product roadmaps, product requirements, and value engineering initiatives.  Review and approval of design reviews, drawings, test & quality plans, build instructions, training materials and other technical documents, including the work of junior engineers and other technical staff. Education

/Work Experience

Requirements:

Eligibility as a Professional Engineer with APEGA (or equivalent) Computer proficiency (

Document Management

Software, MS Office – Word, Excel, MS Project, MATLAB, and Outlook). Proficient knowledge of various design software suites and analysis tools 9 years of systems design work. 5 years of project related engineering development experience. Additional desirable assets would include:

Project Management

Certification Strong Technical writing experience Aerospace, Automotive, or Marine system engineering design Skill
