As part of the Operations team, you will report to the Unit Superintendent and engage with various teams to uphold safe and environmentally sound refinery practices. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and coaching team members. This position requires shift work, with possible day assignments to enhance operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Shift Superintendent on production planning
• Ensure adherence to Daily Operating Instructions (DOI’s)
• Oversee operator performance and development goals
• Conduct safety meetings and incident reviews
• Participate in Emergency Response Team training
Requirements:
• Minimum Second Class Power Engineer Certification required
• 5-10 years of refinery or large plant experience
• Strong knowledge of site safety and emergency response procedures
• Effective communication skills essential
• Valid Alberta driver’s license needed
