Job description:
Position: Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Work Location: London, ON

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $23.00 per hour
Applicants should be willing to work in retirement, Nursing or LTC Home. Individuals preferably living in or near London, ON.
Duties:
Adheres to the plan of care as determined by the care team
Assists with resident/client personal care/hygiene, nutrition and activities of daily living
Observe and report on changes in resident/client condition to supervisors on duty
Supports residents/clients with cognitive/psychological deficits by utilizing care interventions to minimize potential for responsive behaviours
Assists with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids
Demonstrates understanding of resident/client needs and maximizes abilities
Maintains resident/client information confidential
Refers resident/client or family concerns to the nurse in charge
Notifies supervisor of any concerns impacting resident/client safety
Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including resident/client equipment, belongings and nursing equipment
Completes documentation in PointClickCare in POC and notes
Completes all other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Other Relevant trades certificate/diploma or equivalent experience
COVID-19 full vaccination Proof is a must as per government’s guidelines.
TB Test (Valid and Recent)
Vulnerable sector check form (Valid and recent)
Immunization record (complete and valid)
Other relevant Certificates e.g., CPR and First Aid
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Weight Handling
Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work Schedules:
