Position Summary:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce quality parts that meet specifications. This position also serves as a backup to the Assembly department when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and run CNC machines to make parts according to drawings and specifications.
- Program, edit, and adjust programs as necessary using Mastercam (G-code, Fanuc).
- Operate additional equipment including drill press, VMC, lathe, and saw.
- Check parts with measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
- Perform general cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and instructions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work with team members to meet production goals.
- Assist the Assembly department as a backup when needed.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: 2-year technical degree.
- Experience in CNC machine setup, programming, and operation.
- Proficiency with Mastercam (G-code, Fanuc).
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Good mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist in Assembly as needed.
Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
