Become a vital part of mining operations as an underground Heavy Duty Mechanic. Support mine development by maintaining heavy mobile equipment and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules.
In this critical role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and primarily work underground, with occasional tasks on the surface. You will service and inspect heavy equipment, troubleshoot failures, and conduct necessary repairs while collaborating with the maintenance team. Experience and strong communication skills are essential as you carry out your duties in this safety-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot failures and complete necessary repairs
• Work individually and within a maintenance team
• Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules
• Maintain an excellent safety record
Requirements:
• Valid heavy duty equipment mechanic license
• 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to use OEM diagnostic software
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule
