Duties
- Perform repairs and modifications on truck bodies using MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and auto body repair techniques
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, disassemble, and restore vehicle components with precision
- Conduct semi-truck painting, truck glass replacement, truck restoration, and detailing to enhance vehicle appearance and functionality
- Fabricate custom parts or panels from sheet metal or other materials to meet specific project requirements
- Apply auto estimating skills to assess damage or repair needs accurately and prepare detailed work orders
- Ensure safety standards are followed during all procedures involving heavy lifting, welding, soldering, or use of power tools
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or hands-on work in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle repair preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding techniques, and auto body repair processes
- Experience with fabrication using sheet metal and assembly of vehicle parts or custom truck bodies
- Familiarity with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and finishing details
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, auto glass equipment, and other workshop machinery safely and effectively
