Our Supply Chain Team is expanding, and we are on the hunt for a rockstar Transportation & Logistics Specialist to join us!
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for leading inbound & outbound transportation systems, and is focused on a few key areas; Leadership, Transportation & Vendor Management, Customs Compliance, Performance Monitoring & Reporting, Strategic Planning, and Continuous Improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Team Leadership, Vendor Management & Strategic Planning
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning
Drive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers
Negotiate rates and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and service level improvements
Develop and implement strategies and plans to 9optimize the supply chain and meet organizational objectives
Analyze processes, identify and implement areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate across departments (procurement, production, sales) to align logistics activities with business goals
Identify opportunities to optimize transportation processes and improve efficiency
Requirements
WHAT YOU HAVE:
Experience in transportation coordination and logistics management in a manufacturing or distribution environment
A strong knowledge of transportation regulations & industry best practices
Proficiency in logistics software & tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS),
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
APICS and or CPIM certifications would be an asset
