Step into the world of data governance as a Business Analyst for a prestigious banking client in Toronto. This 6-month contract, with two days per week in-office, focuses on enhancing data practices.
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst with a strong background in Data Governance. You will support the Finance Data Governance Program, ensuring adherence to the Data Management Capability Assessment Model. This role involves extensive interaction with stakeholders to document practices, drive process improvements, and ensure data quality compliance. Engage actively with teams and consulting partners like KPMG.
Key Responsibilities:
• Align governance framework with DCAM and best practices
• Analyze and gather data governance requirements with stakeholders
• Maintain documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
• Facilitate collaboration between teams for governance initiatives
• Improve data quality and integrity controls within finance
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in Data Governance
• Certification in DCAM necessary
• Strong SQL skills with a technical background
• Financial industry exposure is a plus
• Understanding of project management is beneficial
