Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool Maker / Tooling Technician to support mold repair, preventative maintenance, and tooling operations within a high-volume injection molding environment.
The company manufactures modular crates and accessories, allowing customers to stack, connect, and customize their storage with durable, collapsible solutions designed for homes, garages, workshops, retail environments, and commercial applications.
This role is critical to maintaining mold performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting the production of high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will have strong mold repair experience, manual machining skills, and the ability to independently troubleshoot tooling issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position: Tool Maker / Tooling Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Schedule: First Shift (Flexibility Required Based on Production Needs)
Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per Hour

Responsibilities
- Perform complete mold tear-down, inspection, repair, and reassembly
- Conduct preventative maintenance on injection molds
- Diagnose mold performance issues and implement corrective actions
- Repair and maintain hot runner systems
- Support production by ensuring tooling is operating efficiently
- Operate manual machining equipment, including:
- Bridgeport-style mill
- Manual lathe
- Surface grinder
- Maintain tooling and maintenance records
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling concerns
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of injection mold repair, tooling, or tool room experience
- Strong understanding of injection mold construction and maintenance
- Experience operating manual machining equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mold and tooling issues independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and technical documentation preferred
- Experience with hot runner systems preferred
