Position Overview
We are seeking an Attorney / Business Development Manager to lead our growth in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market. In this role, your legal background is your credibility, but your hustle is your engine. Your primary objective is simple: generate revenue by building lasting relationships with real estate professionals. This is not a passive desk job. You must be hungry, highly motivated, and willing to hit the phones daily to schedule face-to-face appointments with real estate agents, managing brokers, title attorneys, and other industry prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue: Actively prospect, cold-call, and network to secure new title and escrow business across South Florida.
- Appointment Setting: Maintain a high volume of outbound calls and emails to schedule pitch meetings with top-producing real estate agents and brokerages.
- Relationship Management: Educate prospects on CLA Title’s superior services, acting as a trusted legal resource and partner.
- Market Presence: Attend real estate industry events, local association meetings, and networking functions to elevate the brand.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our closing and underwriting teams to ensure a flawless experience for the clients you bring in.
Requirements
- Education/Licensure: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Active license to practice law (Florida Bar preferred, but out-of-state bars considered if experienced in real estate).
- The Hustle: Proven willingness and ability to pick up the phone, make cold/warm calls, and handle rejection to get the appointment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to command a room and build instant rapport.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the real estate transaction lifecycle, title insurance, and closing processes is highly preferred.
- Mobility: Must live in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area and have reliable transportation for daily travel to client meetings throughout the region.
Compensation & Benefits
