The Ministry supports the sustainable management of forest resources, the prosperity, viability and competitiveness of industries that use them, and public access for a wide range of activities such as hunting, fishing and recreation. This Timber Tenures Specialist position provides services to the northern operations area. This job is responsible for providing senior professional policy and operational advisory services including providing direction to others.

Indigenous Applicant Advisory Service – Province of British Columbia ().Qualifications for this role include:

Degree in the natural resource field or equivalent as recognized by the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).

Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).

Two (2) years of timber tenures related experience.

Comprehensive experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.

Comprehensive experience managing projects and/or project components.

Comprehensive experience drafting or preparing a variety of complex technical written reports, analyses, briefings, policy drafts and other documentation in accordance with the regulatory or legislative requirements or guidelines.
