Job Summary
The Machine Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of production machinery while maintaining a clean, organized work area. The role also supports Inspector Packer by helping verify that all products meet quality standards and are properly packaged.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and pack products in accordance with quality and packing standards
- Label finished products and properly dispose of scrap materials
- Safely operate production machines and the inline grinder
- Prepare boxes and totes for use
- Follow all GMPs, safety procedures, and perform additional assigned tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, positive, and team-oriented
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience
- Smartphone for timekeeping
- Ability to read tape measures (standard/metric)
Physical Demands
- Perform manual labor (lifting, carrying, bending, reaching)
- Stand for a 12-hour shift; use hands/fingers for object handling
- Strong hand-eye coordination; lift 50 lbs. regularly; repetitive tasks
- Clear visual acuity and dexterity needed for repetitive inspection and packing tasks
Working Conditions
- Exposure to loud noise (hearing protection required)
- Seasonal temperature changes
- PPE required for certain tasks
- Safety toe footwear is required on the production floor.
- Food-grade environment requiring hygiene standards
- Work near forklifts
