Test Engineer
– Power BI testing

, Ottawa Nova Scotia Long Term Contract Video Interview Candidate should be in Canada physically only apply for this job. Role Scope / Deliverables:
1. Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to thoroughly evaluate Power BI solutions.
2. Identify, document, and track software defects, bugs, and issues, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
3. Conduct manual testing of Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and data transformations.
4. Perform data validation and verification to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within Power BI solutions.
5. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on testability and potential risks.
6. Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback to ensure test coverage and alignment with business objectives.
7. Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
8. Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, industry trends, and best practices in testing methodologies.
Key
Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Power BI testing.
3. Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, including report development, data modeling, DAX expressions, and data visualization best practices.
4. Strong proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, both manual and automated (e.g., Power BI Testing SDK, DAX Studio, Power Query Editor).5. Solid understanding of SQL and data querying for testing purposes.
6. Proven experience in designing and executing complex test scenarios and test cases.
7. Excellent analytical and
