This term role offers a unique opportunity to manage resource placement for children entering care under the CFCSA. You’ll work collaboratively with delegated Aboriginal agencies, facilitating the recruitment and training of foster parents. Continuous assessment of children in placements will be key to planning their development, while ensuring service providers understand policies and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate placements for children entering care
• Engage with Aboriginal agencies for integrated case management
• Recruit and monitor foster parents for children
• Evaluate child progress during their placement
• Ensure clarity of requirements for service providers
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or similar field
• Child welfare specialization with placement experience
• C4 delegation or ability to attend training
• Strong advocacy and support skills
• Understanding of Indigenous community practices
