Labourers and equipment operators needed to assist utility crew placing placing fibre optics in the St. Walburg, SK area.
Drivers License required.
Backhoe, Dozer, Skid Steer, Mini Ex, directional drill operator experience an asset.
Experience with landscape construction, shovel work, ground restoration etc an asset. Raised on a farm considered an asset.
The Opportunity:
The purpose of the Underground Utilities Operator is to assist in the placement of conduit and utility cables.
This position works outdoors working with a variety of equipment and tools installing conduit and fibre optics underground in rural and urban environments.
What You Will be Doing:
Operating equipment and working as a part of a team to install fibre optic/coax cables.
Working as a part of a team to install other underground utilities.
Keep supervisor current on the status of any issue(s) that may have an impact on the work being performed.
Participate in field level safety meetings, toolbox talks, and health and safety informational awareness.
Following regular vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and ensuring schedules are adhered.
Ensure equipment appearance is maintained to Burton standards
Ability to perform other routine maintenance work as required
Other duties as required.
