Our client is seeking a contract-based Technical Product Owner to join an agile team focused on the evolution and enhancement of their CRM platform. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging senior executives, facilitating agile delivery teams, and participating in detailed technical discussions with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Hybrid – Markham, ON
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership.
- Own and manage product backlogs, priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
- Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
- Work closely with development, architecture, QA, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Facilitate discussions with executives and senior stakeholders while also engaging in detailed technical conversations.
- Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend technology-enabled solutions.
- Drive requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution documentation.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Ensure alignment between product vision, business objectives, and technology capabilities.
- Support change management, stakeholder communications, and user adoption activities.
- Promote agile best practices and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Requirements
- 7–15 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Agile Delivery, or related roles.
- Proven experience serving as a Technical Product Owner within enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and product management principles.
- Experience performing Scrum Master responsibilities alongside Product Owner duties.
- Ability to wear multiple hats across Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Business Analyst functions.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand architectures, integrations, APIs, data flows, and modern application development concepts.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and customer-facing technology solutions is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at both leadership and technical levels.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, facilitating decisions, and driving outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments is preferred.
Preferred Profile
- Strong executive-facing communication skills with the ability to articulate strategy while also diving deep into technical details.
- Experience working in complex CRM environments involving multiple stakeholder groups and integrated systems.
- Hands-on experience balancing product ownership, agile delivery leadership, and business analysis responsibilities.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve and collaboration is critical to success.
