Requirements:

• Experience implementing Canadian provincial digital solutions in an architect role

• Experience working as an architect in digital health organizations in Canada, either as an employee or as a consultant

• Experience with HL7 / FHIR

• Experience with designing end-to-end digital health solutions including electronic health records, client / provider registries, patient portals, identity management solutions, etc.

• Lead the implementation of best practices for data security, privacy, and confidentiality to safeguard sensitive healthcare information

• Familiarity with standards relevant to the Canadian digital health environment Preferred

• Identity management in a healthcare setting is an asset

Job responsibilities:

Lead and/or participate in the development and maintenance of the architecture of enterprise/corporate services, which includes vision, policies, guidelines, standards, reference models and tools. These services will be use across government. Supervises, sets priorities and monitors the efficiency of a team of specialist and analysts in a given area, ensuring that users’ needs and requirements are met and service levels are attained.

Develops and implements IT guidelines and procedures for their area of expertise, keeping in line with the objectives of the CSDS to ensure consistency and reliability of the services. Develops IT standards in conjunction with other Technical Architects to align the work methods of CSDS ensuring that services are effective and timely. Analyses trends in IT issues and performs root cause analysis over extended periods to provide sound long-term solutions while considering the impact on other areas.

Develops, modifies or enhances databases, programs, networks, administrative applications and/or electronic tools to facilitate and improve services. Provides expert advice and training to users on the optimal use of computer equipment and software to increase effective and efficient use by clients. Provides tier 3 level technical support, working directly with end users and other technical teams, by troubleshooting and repairing hardware (computers, servers, print devices, peripherals, telecom equipment, and other equipment), infrastructure (networks) or software …
